Eligible investors
The following are permitted to invest in IST:
- All tax-exempt pension schemes based in Switzerland that are exempt from withholding tax on dividends from the shares of US companies in accordance with the Competent Authority Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the “CAA”) of November 25 / December 3, 2004 between the tax authorities of the USA and Switzerland in connection with the Switzerland-US double taxation treaty of October 2, 1996.
- Persons who manage collective investments for schemes in accordance with a) above, are supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and limit their investments in the Investment Foundation exclusively to assets for these schemes.
The following are eligible to invest in IST2:
- Pension schemes and other tax-exempt schemes based in Switzerland whose purpose is the pursuit of occupational pension provision.
- Persons who manage collective investments for schemes in accordance with a) above, are supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and limit their investments in the Investment Foundation exclusively to assets for these schemes.
The following are eligible to invest in IST3:
- All tax-exempt pension schemes based in Switzerland that are exempt from withholding tax on dividends from the shares of US companies in accordance with the Competent Authority Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the “CAA”) of November 25 / December 3, 2004 between the tax authorities of the USA and Switzerland in connection with the Switzerland-US double taxation treaty of October 2, 1996.
